Smut, fluff, domesticity, wild worldbuilding, sentient machines, canon-accurate romps, AUs that slip a little outside the box - I’m open to all kinds of fic. If you want to skim through this letter for a few ideas then mash ‘em all up together, then I can totally get behind that. Equally, if you want some detailed guidance as to individual canon ideas, then hopefully I’ve managed to include enough below.
I love the tropey goodness that is inherent in a lot of these pairings. A fair few of them have decent age gaps, so we get the opportunity for silver foxes aplenty. Feel free to rummage through the baggage contained in previous letters, because I have a brand and I’m old enough to acknowledge this. If you keep the keywords of fluff and smut to mind, you won’t go far wrong.
Also, have fun writing! If you’re enjoying it and it goes a little astray from these prompts, just run with it. As long as it doesn’t hit any DNWs, I’ll love it, because sometimes, the characters know best and take you in directions you really didn’t expect.
James Bond (Craig Movies)
Group: M | Gareth Mallory/Bill Tanner (Bond - Craig)
Group: James Bond/Bill Tanner (Bond - Craig)
Group: James Bond/Q (Bond - Craig)
Canon set mission fic or retirement fic would be wonderful, as would any number of AUs. Go wild.
Possible prompts:
Bill Tanner is a BAMF and no one can convince me otherwise. He deserves ALL the love. Put him front and centre, let him shake off the grey little bureaucrat image and shine, and I will love you forever (this has absolutely nothing to do with my Rory Kinnear obsession, how dare you).
Gareth Mallory is his first love, although he's not averse to letting off a little steam with 007 or down in Q branch. We're talking competence kink really, aren't we? To be honest, any combination of these four would be marvellous if Tanner really isn’t your thing. Although who wouldn’t love a quietly kick-ass supporting figure who is so much more than meets the eye?
Canon set mission fic or retirement fic would be wonderful, as would any number of AUs. Go wild.
Possible prompts:
- One of them is kidnapped, so it’s time for a Rescue! Cue tech and fast cars and visiting that city/country you always wanted to/love dearly. I’m a Brit, so show me your bit of the world.
- The perennial ‘undercover as married’ trope - the reason can be as flimsy as you like, this is a perfect foil for feelings and pining and some very satisfying resolution.
- 5+1 following Tanner’s (or Mallory’s or Bond’s) love life through his career until he meets The One. Brilliant format for cramming all those half formed casefic ideas into without having to do a full plot arc!
- Some mundane MI-6 slice-of-life-when-the-world-isn’t-ending.
- A fantastical AU of your choosing - swords & sorcery, steampunk airship pirates (yes, I have a brand), have at it. Just, no de-aged/high school type stuff. I have enough teenagers in my daily life.
Pacific Rim (Movies)
Group: Hercules Hansen/Stacker Pentecost (Pacific Rim)
I am a petrol head and mech fiend and a lover of all things silver fox - give me all the Jaeger goodness and the story of these two old friends who have known each other forever. Just, whatever you do, please fix things. Giant robots are my kryptonite - I have adored Transformers since the first cartoons - and seeing Gypsy Danger stride across my screen was yet another formative moment for my id. How about an AU where the Jaegers are sentient and can drift with their pilots?
Prompts:
- Fix-it fic in which Stacker gets to the life pod in time or in which he never had to sacrifice himself. You can hand wave the brain issue or have it miraculously fixed by proximity to kaiju telekinesis or whatever, but please make everything better.
- A pre-movie get together in which we see Herc and Stacker learning to drift and fight together, with as much Jaeger detail as you could possibly want to hoof into it. I mean, I am totally here for lovingly detailed descriptions of building Jaegers, the tech and science behind them, learning to drift with another person, what it’s like to join minds and fight with someone, the incredible intimacy of knowing someone like that.
- Post movie retirement fic… give me any and all of it. Seriously love the idea of a permanent telepathic link between pilots, and of course these two fought together. Give me long term lovers who are never out of each others’ heads, no matter the distance, or the first time they stepped into the drift together. Herc tracing Stacker’s scars from when he brought his jaeger home alone.
- If you can think of an AU deserving of these two mature, kick-ass, competent men (uh-oh, methinks I spot a theme here), go for it. There might the odd idea in the OW segment too.
I have no real thoughts about Herc’s late wife. I don’t particularly like Chuck Hansen as a character but do with him what you will - ignore him, send him off to Alaska, give him a redeeming character arc and make him actually nice - whatever you like. As long as the focus is on Stacker and Herc getting their much deserved happy ever after, I will be delighted.
The Avengers (Marvel Movies)
Group: Phil Coulson/James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Avengers MCU)
Group: Phil Coulson/Steve Rogers (Avengers MCU)
Group: Steve Rogers/Tony Stark (Avengers MCU)
Iron Man (Movies)
I am totally in the Coulson/Rhodey camp of the MCU right now, because oh god, quietly competent, kick-ass older guys *fans self*
You can mix and mash up my MCU ideas as much as you like, because my head canon for them is wide and varied. Give me total canon divergence, in that IW/Endgame never happened, that time stopped after Avengers and Phil was actually only dead for forty-two seconds before he was brought back to life, and Tony made everyone their own space in the tower. Let’s have some Avengers era fun and missionfic. Bring in Civil War and Winter Soldier but fix the angst.
Steve/Tony is the juggernaut ship for this fandom, and as such, seems to be slipping out of fashion, but I love Tony Stark with my whole heart, so if you can include him and make him happy, then go for it. Drop Steve/Tony in as a background pair for the Coulson/Rhodey and I would love you forever, seriously. Steve/Tony/Bucky OT3? Why yes, yes please indeed.
Prompts:
- Coulson and Rhodey being put together to work on reining in some of Iron Man’s more insane escapades, having them run SHIELD together with Fury bitching away in the background. Gradually becoming good friends, then accidentally slipping into something more - undercover as a couple? someone seeing the two of them together and assuming? - and then realising that maybe there is something more than just friendship there. Tony being all ‘oh god, everyone could see it but you!’.
- Fix Endgame. Like FIX EVERYTHING. Bring Tony back, have his final snap return everyone that they’d lost so he actually saved himself. That would bring back everyone from Phil through to Nat, punt Thanos into the sun and the Wakandans can fix all the other bits and pieces that need tidying up. I’m really not fussed by the Guardians so do with them what you will.
- Coulson and Rhodey being married this whole time, after getting together post-Captain Marvel, pre-Iron Man. Working wild hours, from one end of the country to the other, chasing after Stark at the whims of SHIELD and USAF, but always, somehow, managing to get together for their anniversary and birthdays.
- For Phil/Steve, let’s have some hero worship that goes both ways. I have no fixed idea for these two, but I'm sure Coulson does. There's all kinds of AU that would fit them.
Iron Man (Movies)
Group: James "Rhodey" Rhodes/Tony Stark (IM Movies)
Let me see Tony’s vulnerable side, under the snark and narcissistic banter. He feels so much. He loves so deeply. Oh god. He knew what he was doing when he picked up that glove, and how it would end. For the love of all things Stan Lee, fix it.
I love their dynamic, their friendship, their history. Give me backstory, future fic, slice of life for these two old friends. See my Avengers/MCU prompts above. If you do Rhodey/Tony, give me background Steve/Bucky or Clint/Coulson. Mix and match. Throw them in an AU. Have a post-Endgame wedding anniversary for them (do not diss Pepper, however - have them mutually separated, keep Morgan if you like as Tony is an AWESOME dad, and they’re all grown ups and friends and respectful of each other and Morgan loves her Uncle Rhodey too).
Literal post-Endgame when Tony is recovering in Wakanda. Rhodey not leaving his side and everyone slowly realising that maybe there’s more to this old friendship than just friendship. You have a cast of dozens to play with here, have at it. If you want to fix it some other way, go for it. Please bring Nat and Phil back whilst you’re at it! I love a good fix-it fic.

tl:dr: I don’t know, I just have a LOT of Tony Stark feels. So many. Ugh.
Star Trek: Alternate Original Series (Movies)
Group: James T. Kirk/Leonard "Bones" McCoy (ST: AOS)
Group: James T. Kirk/Leonard "Bones" McCoy/Spock (ST: AOS)
If you’ve waded through all of the above, and I just screech “BONES” at you, you’re probably correct in anticipating the level of flail I have for this incarnation of my favourite Star Trek character. Grouchy, snarky, so-done-with-this-shit Bones, with his generous heart big enough to encompass galaxies. He would heal the universe, if he could, bitching about it the whole time. James T Kirk is his kryptonite, his touchstone, the thorn in his side, his soulmate, and I want everything from old married husbands, to hidden relationship, to Bones giving in and letting himself have this beautiful blond creature who he feels is far too young for him, only to realise that Jim adores him equally in return. breathes into paper bag And whilst I’ve always been a die-hard Kirk/McCoy shipper, I’m not averse to adding Spock into the mix, so to speak ^^
Prompt:
- Canon-typical Star Trek episode, with aliens and First Contact and waxing lyrical about the Enterprise and her crew. Give Bones some interesting alien biology to study and Jim a diplomatic pas-de-deux that can either go horribly wrong or get him nearly married off to some alien princess so Bones has to wade in and point out that he can’t be married to more than one person and that’s his captain, damn it. So the aliens decide to celebrate the marriage of Bones and Jim with a party and the end up in the honeymoon suite etc etc.
- They get tangled up in the tail from an errant asteroid and the radiation and mineral compounds send Spock into an early Pon Farr. Established couple Jim and Bones help him out. Yeah, I know, it’s just an excuse for 10k of porn with added feels thrown in.
- Jim and Bones in a steampunk AU with the Airship Enterprise and crew. They’re off charting unknown islands in some tropical clime or ice-bound seascape.
- Enterprising (air/star/steam) ship captain Jim picks up a travelling doctor/healer at a (space) port somewhere, and accepts him as part of the crew, much to the surprise of his existing team. What is it that their usually canny captain has seen in this new addition? Feel free to make Bones a doctor or a priest or some other kind of respected figure.
- Almost Human AU, in which Bones is Kennex (of course) and Jim is a DRN.
Original Work
Sumptuous weddings, alien world building, diplomatic conventions dealing with ending the war - this pair has so many possibilities. They don’t have to be grand emperors of entire solar systems, to be honest - they could be generals or kings or princes of different lands or armies.
I’m not a fan of time travel stuff, but the possibilities inherent in this pairing are too good to pass up on. Modern pilot takes his plane through a worm hole? Younger pilot does a Steve Rogers and ends up frozen until discovered and thawed out? On reflection I think having the 2020s pilot end up in the 1900s has more scope for steampunkery and adventure. Maybe he’s on holiday in Egypt and steps through an archway into the 1900s?
Group: Scholar of ancient history/Scholar in enemy land with whom they correspond (M/M)
This pairing is so intriguing. Where is the ancient history scholar? What era do they live in? And the ‘enemy land’ could have so many definitions. My mind immediately went to a scholar of ancient Egypt or the Middle East, as I have a deep interest in all things Arabic. I love the language and the way the cultures which speak it are so similar and yet so diverse. Is it modern day and are they writing from each side of a barbed wire fence? Is it Victorian, and a London based scholar is corresponding with someone in Tripoli or Sevastopol? Perhaps it’s a First or Second World War based fic in which our intrepid scholar has a German penpal.
Group: Silver Fox General/Rival's Subordinate (M/M)
Love me a competent, kick-ass silver fox. And as I love me some angst, pining and smutty-fluffy resolution, we could have a seduction by one or the other, in which feelings develop and compromise the mission and then one side realises they’re on the losing/amoral/badguy side and they switch to end the war. Etc. You get my drift.
I mean, there’s the obvious vampire overtones here, but I’m thinking something a little more… refined? An immortal doesn’t have to be a monster, even though he may be looked up as so. Maybe he is the benevolent overlord of the demesne, with a beautiful castle surrounded by fecund fields and burgeoning orchards? My love of immortals was formed by the original Highlander movie, so very many years ago. By all means, dip into the lore of that world for this one.
Where is the traveller going to/from? What’s the storm like? You want to spend 6k describing the castle and its many passages and outbuildings and servants and lush dinners served within, by all means, I will read all that with the greatest of pleasure, especially if it’s balanced with some seduction. You want to make it a Beauty and the Beast style AU, then I would definitely be here for that as well. Fairy tale immortals are as intriguing as your more ordinary vampire/werewolf kind.
Group: Male Human Galactic Emperor/Male Alien Galactic Emperor He Marries To End War
Sumptuous weddings, alien world building, diplomatic conventions dealing with ending the war - this pair has so many possibilities. They don’t have to be grand emperors of entire solar systems, to be honest - they could be generals or kings or princes of different lands or armies.
Group: Older Level-Headed 2020s Airplane Pilot/Younger Risk-Taking 1900s Dirigible Pilot (M/M)
This would make for an amazing epistolaric fic, with our scholars’ letters to one another, the odd newspaper article thrown in for colour and context, a diary entry at the end when they finally met after escaping from the war/ending the war.

Whether this is a space General, a modern Army general, a Victorian steampunk general - it’s totally up to you. If you want to use my PacRim request above and give me General Pentecost and his rival’s subordinate Hansen, I would definitely not stop you.
Group: Tired Traveler Stranded in Storm/Refined Immortal Whose Castle He Takes Shelter In (M/M)
I mean, there’s the obvious vampire overtones here, but I’m thinking something a little more… refined? An immortal doesn’t have to be a monster, even though he may be looked up as so. Group: Victorious General/Respected Enemy General Who Is His Postwar Arranged Husband
More married generals! YAY! Love me some arranged marriages that lead to feelings and smut and then, oh no, lurrrve. They can be steampunk generals or space faring generals or anything in between. And for generals, you can always substitute admirals if you’d like to use space ships or air ships or actual ocean going ships.
Group: Victwardian Gentleman on the Grand Tour/Same That He Meets During Trip
This is just a blatant excuse for steam trains and pining and epic descriptions of the sweeping views they look at from their dining car as they try to ignore their equally epic crushes. Keep the internalised homophobia to a minimum, though, and focus more on the unsuitability of their match - maybe one is an English lord and the other a Scottish Laird? Or do we have a Cambridge chap and an Oxford one facing each other down over the bridge table?
Perhaps one of them has been dispatched to educate himself by Grandmama because he was becoming a bookish recluse, whereas the other one was ordered on the trip by his father before he fell into yet another scam/brothel/scandal/fistfight/insulted another noble. We can have two very educated types from opposites ends of the spectrum. Or maybe, one of them is a little older than is usual for this kind of trip, but he was tied to the family home and responsibilities because his father fell ill and he had to take on the mantle of head of house - now his younger brother has married and produced an heir, our erstwhile gentleman finally gets the chance to travel across Europe to Constantinople on the adventure he was denied as a youth.

Group: Young Hotshot Pilot/Veteran He Has a Crush On (M/M)
Of course my brain went ‘steampunk airships’ when faced with the word ‘pilot’, but if you’ve waded through this entire letter, you aren’t going to be surprised in the slightest. But also, WWII Spitfire pilots also work for me if you aren’t into airships. If you like water, then harbour pilots work too. Just, let’s have all the hero worship for a competent silver fox, please and thank you, whilst the veteran angsts over leading this bright young thing astray.
Likes: Fluff, smut, mundane domesticity. Airships/steampunk, spaceships/sci-fi. Older characters/silver foxes, happy ever afters, suit porn, competence and loyalty and protectiveness and found family. Enemies to friends to lovers. I am a trope ho. Give me different standards of beauty and attractiveness. Orgasm delay is fun. Denial is not.
Smut likes: Whilst I'm not a big fan of BDSM in fandom, I very much enjoy inflicting a bit of orgasm delay (although not outright denial!) and multiple orgasms. Please give me inventive sexual positions, alien or robotic genitalia, enthusiastic 'we're not dead' sex, OT3s, telepathic connections, intense soul bond sex, love and lust at first sight, sentient machines, joyful consummation after epic pining (requited, of course), use of fingers but not fists, mouths everywhere except rimming, sweet-soft-tender “I’m going to take care of you" sex, and coming so hard they pass out. Singly, or in whatever inventive combination the muse demands of you.
DNW: A/b/o dynamics/mpreg/lactation; Noncon/incest/underage; BDSM, D/s or manipulative power dynamics, roleplaying; Excessive gore/violence; scat/watersports/snowballing/eggpreg; Character death or chronic illness (unless it’s canon and you’re going to fix it - I’m looking at you, MCU), unhappy or bittersweet endings; High school/teenager/de-aged AUs (I have teens in the house, ‘nuff said)
